What is Astrology?
Astrology is the study of the placement and movement of the celestial bodies in the skies, which are believed to correlate and have an influence on human life and the natural world. Think of everything being and acting in a system of energetic frequencies. Hence the popular esoteric phrase; As above, so below.
Most magazines columns or mass media often have a surface-level portrayal of Astrology. Meaning to say, all the weekly forecasts you’ve read on most magazines and newspapers are based on only the Sun Sign. An actual Astrological chart examines not just the Sun, but also the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and many more, all of which represent different aspects of the native’s psyche that could be in a sign different from his Sun.
For example, one could have Sun in Gemini, but Moon in Cancer, Mercury in Taurus and Venus in Aquarius. That makes for an extremely complex and complicated personality, which manifests differently in the native, depending on the House positions of these planets.
